SCHOOL UNIFORM

·        Parents have been balloted and have agreed that children should have a uniform at Highgate Primary School.

·        The predominant colours are light blue and burgundy.

·        The school sweatshirt, blue polo shirt and P.E. Kit are on sale at school – from the Dining Room only on Monday morning.

·        All other items, light grey trousers, skirt or pinafore are all available from High Street stores.

·        Grey or blue shalwar and/or kameez.

·        For warmer weather, light blue polo shirts and blue gingham dresses are easily obtained, again in High Street stores.

·        Flat heeled shoes, which support the foot and ankle are essential.

·        For P.E., shorts and ‘tee-shirt’ in the school colours are suitable, and black jogging bottoms for outdoor P.E. in the cold weather.

·        Footwear for P.E. varies with the child’s age.  We recommend simple black elasticated plimsolls for children up to and including Year 3.  After this trainers and football boots may be needed.

·        For safety reasons no jewellery, including earrings or studs, may be worn during P.E. or swimming lessons.

·        Children with long hair should wear a cap for swimming.
