INTRODUCTION 

This Parents’ Handbook to the best of our knowledge, complies with the current requirements of Education Acts and contains information for you a parent or guardian about Highgate Primary School.  We hope you find it useful – and we will be pleased to hear or read of your comments or queries so that we can improve on its various aspects.

 Although information is currently correct, minor changes will occur and updated sheets will be forwarded to you from time to time.

 Access to further information may be obtained in school concerning:

• The academic record of your child.

• The Local education Authority’s statement of Curriculum Policy.

• School Policy Documents.

• Minutes of the Governing Body and its Committees.

• Any OFSTED report relating expressly to the school.

All the adults who work at Highgate Primary School (Many of whom are volunteer helpers) are part of a team which is there to serve the educational needs of our pupils.  Governors, Teachers, NNEBs, Classroom Assistants, Reading Buddies, Secretarial Staff, Cleaners, Cooks, Dinner ladies and our Caretaker all have an important role to play.  We work together and, with the co-operation of grown-ups at home, we will provide the best in education provision for your child.
